Chitwan National Park Tour
Chitwan National Park is situated in south-western Nepal and covers 932 sq. km. This is Nepal’s first famous National Park for wildlife safaris where you can see wild Elephant, white footed gaur (the world’s largest wild cattle), leopards, wild boar, sloth bears and several species of deer including the spotted, barking, samber and hog deer. It is the home of the one horned rhinoceros, harbors and one of the largest populations of the exclusive and rare royal Bengal tigers. The swampy areas and numerous ox-bow lakes are perfect for marsh crocodiles. The park hosts 450 species of birds and the Tharu people who have unique cultural traditions.
Day 01: Departure from Kathmandu or Pokhara – welcome drinks and lunch at the hotel and rest – village tour in the evening
Day 02: Breakfast – canoeing in the Rapti River – jungle walk and visit the elephant breeding centre –lunch – elephant ride to the jungle and elephant bath –dinner –culture programme
Day 03: Bird watching early in the morning – breakfast – departure for selected destination
